Use and maintenance of plastic dryers
During installation, fix the dryer base to the injection molding machine's feed inlet, connect the power supply, and confirm the fan's rotation direction, ensuring proper grounding. Operation and adjustments include setting the thermostat temperature according to the raw material; generally, the airflow should be fully open, but reduced when there is less material or a higher temperature is required; ensure the material tank is filled to a suitable level, typically no less than 70%. For drying transparent raw materials, an air filter must be installed at the air inlet to prevent dust from entering.
Before feeding, preheat the material tank for 10-20 minutes to dry the internal moisture. Maintenance includes regularly cleaning the air inlet filter, separator, and dust collection chamber; avoid scraping the material clumps on the protective screen with hard objects; when shutting down, turn off the heating element first, and then turn off the fan after a delay to allow for sufficient cooling.
