Precautions For Using Plastic Crushers

Before Use

1. Before starting, manually rotate the drive wheel one or two turns to ensure smooth operation before starting the machine. Feed material only after the crusher is running normally.

2. Before stopping operation, stop feeding and empty the material from the machine before disconnecting the motor power.

3. During operation, pay attention to the bearing temperature and ensure good lubrication. Also, check for any abnormal sounds or vibrations. If any abnormalities are found, stop the machine and check for jamming by uncrushable objects or damage to machine parts.

4. Maintain uniform feeding to the crusher and prevent overloading. Prevent uncrushable objects such as metal and wood from falling into the machine. If the material cannot be crushed, the moisture content of the feed should not be too high; for wet crushing, maintain an appropriate water level to prevent blockage due to insufficient flushing, which would reduce production capacity.

5. Check if the particle size of the crushed product meets the requirements. If too many particles exceed the specified size, the cause should be identified (e.g., excessively large screen gaps, excessively wide discharge opening, worn hammers, etc.), and appropriate measures should be taken to eliminate the problem.

6. When stopping the crusher, check the tightness of the fastening bolts and the degree of wear on easily worn parts. For toothed crushers, the machine should also be stopped to remove wood stuck between the teeth.

7. Worn parts should be replaced or repaired promptly.

8. The crusher's safety devices must be kept in good condition; never allow them to malfunction for the sake of convenience.

After starting the machine:

1. The plastic crusher and power unit must be securely installed. If the plastic crusher needs to be fixed for long-term operation, it should be fixed on a concrete foundation; if the plastic crusher needs to be mobile, the unit should be installed on a base made of angle iron, ensuring that the pulley grooves of the power unit (diesel engine or electric motor) and the plastic crusher are on the same plane of rotation.

2. After the plastic crusher is installed, check the tightness of all fasteners; tighten any loose ones. Simultaneously check the belt tension.

3. Before starting the plastic crusher, manually rotate the rotor to check if the teeth, hammers, and rotor operate flexibly and reliably, whether there is any collision within the crushing chamber, whether the rotor's rotation direction matches the direction indicated by the arrow on the machine, and whether the lubrication of the power unit and the plastic crusher is good.

4. Do not arbitrarily change the pulleys to prevent excessive speed from causing an explosion in the crushing chamber, or excessive speed from affecting the crusher's working efficiency.

5. After starting the plastic crusher, allow it to idle for 2-3 minutes. Only begin feeding material after confirming there are no abnormal phenomena.

6. During operation, constantly monitor the plastic crusher's operation. First, ensure even feeding to prevent blockage of the crushing chamber; second, avoid prolonged overload operation. If vibration, abnormal noise, excessively high bearing and machine body temperatures, or material spraying outwards are observed, immediately stop the machine for inspection. Operation can only resume after troubleshooting.
